Class Openings

There are a very limited number of openings left for both of my classes at Stamping by the Sea in Ocean City, MD. (Convention May 15-17. My classes are on Friday. The marketplace is on Saturday and Sunday.)

I just booked our hotel room last week and was able to get a room in the resort area for less than $90 per night (tax included). They may still have rooms available at the Carousel (the host hotel) and their rates for Thursday and Sunday are really good.

Altered Coin Holder Book

We will take a coin holder, deconstruct it, and turn it into a wonderful artistic book. Techniques we will explore while creating our book are: stamping on acetate, altering scrapbook paper to create our own decorative paper and binding with zip-lock ties. Bring to class a basic stamping kit including favorite stamp sayings and images as well as staz on ink pads and cleaner. Collage images will be available for your use, but you may wish to decorate your book with your own color copied photos. The image size should be the size of a quarter.

Friday, May 15 9am - 11am
$42

Texture Paste Fat Book

In this class we will explore creating with texture paste. (Featured in the Spring 2009 issue of Altered Arts.) We will create several 4 x 4 pages using many different texture paste techniques. The finished pages will be bound to create an artistic fat book “primer” that you can refer to again and again. Bring: a basic stamping kit.

Friday, May 15 11:30am - 1:30 pm
$37
